About Chin Pao San Cemetery
Also known as Jinbaoshan, Golden Treasure Mountain is a private cemetery located on the slopes of Jinshan Mountain in New Taipei City, Taiwan. From the cemetery you can see the Zhuming Museum and the East China Sea.
Cremations at Chin Pao San take place both indoors and outdoors. The areas of the park-cemetery are accessible to wheelchairs.
Chin Pao San is a place famous for its art paintings. The grounds and interior were designed by various artists, including Taiwanese sculptor Zhou Ming. Sculpture in the facility is modern and often represented by characters, with some showing images of Buddhism and Taoism, all major religions are represented in a given area, and a prominent main building is dedicated to Christianity.
The most visited mausoleum belongs to Taiwanese singer Dang Le Quan. His memorial garden includes a life-size statue and a giant keyboard installed in the ground with a high-tech design, which releases melodies once stepped on.
Jinbaoshan is considered the most beautiful cemetery in the world, becoming one of the biggest tourist attractions in Taiwan.
The cemetery administration, "Jinbaoshan Group", claims that their park is patrolled and maintained by staff 24 hours a day, that they continuously cultivate a large number of trees and plants in the park, and that there are many art installations.
