Tizatlán Botanical Garden occupies approximately 73,560 square metres north of Tlaxcala city, Mexico. State regulations assign 92 percent of the property to green areas and scientific sections, giving the garden a dual role in conservation and public environmental education.
This is not simply an ornamental park. Specimens are labeled with common and scientific names, botanical family, traditional or practical use and natural distribution. Those labels turn a casual walk into an introduction to how botanic gardens document and organize living collections.
