Praia de Tróia Mar lies near the northern tip of Portugal's Tróia Peninsula, facing the Atlantic side while looking across toward the Serra da Arrábida. Fine pale sand, relatively sheltered water and the mountain backdrop give the beach a striking sense of enclosure. Its proximity to the resort, road, marina and Setúbal ferry terminal makes it one of the peninsula's easiest beaches to reach.
VisitPortugal lists Tróia Mar as a maritime beach with Blue Flag recognition, seasonal supervision, accessible-beach provisions, showers, shade rental, food services and water-sports facilities. It gives average summer water temperature as approximately 17–18°C, a useful reminder that clear, calm-looking Atlantic water can remain cold.
