Lifeguard coverage and beach services are seasonal. Swim within supervised zones, obey flag signals and ask lifeguards about currents and water quality. A calm surface does not eliminate cold-water shock or changing tide. Wind can also rise during the afternoon. Families should supervise children directly rather than relying on the apparent gentleness of the sea.
