Tragedy strikes Lahaina, Hawaii, wildfires rage across the island of Maui

In a devastating turn of events, the serene haven of Lahaina and its surrounding areas have been hit by a catastrophic wildfire, leaving destruction and pain in its wake. The death toll resulting from the rapid wildfires on the island of Maui has so far left 67 people dead, authorities have confirmed. The impact of this tragedy has shaken the island community and the entire United States.

The historic city of Lahaina, famous for its charm and its cultural importance, has been almost 80% destroyed, only some architectural monuments have been saved, most of the houses have been destroyed. It is calculated that property losses are equivalent to 1.5 billion dollars.

Although much has been lost, we still have images of this little paradise on earth that will soon be reborn.
