The stadium in briefOpened in 2017 at a cost of roughly US$1.6 billion, the stadium is famous for its eight-petal retractable 'oculus' roof that opens like a camera shutter, and for its 360-degree 'halo' video board. It is the shared home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and MLS side Atlanta United FC, one of the best-supported clubs in North America. World Cup capacity is about 75,000.
