Okeeheelee Park — Street View

Plan a visit to Okeeheelee Park, from its accessible nature trails and wildlife exhibits to lakes, sports facilities and practical hours.

Okeeheelee Park is a Palm Beach County regional park on Forest Hill Boulevard, west of central West Palm Beach. Its county-listed area is 1,659.84 acres, large enough to combine playing fields, lakes, trails and a nature center without making the site feel like a single-purpose sports complex. The main park entrance is at 7715 Forest Hill Boulevard; the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center has a separate entrance at 7500 Forest Hill Boulevard. The county manages the public park, while some attractions and concessions inside it are run by separate operators, so visitors should check who provides each activity.

The scale changes how a visit works. Okeeheelee is not a compact garden that can be crossed in a few minutes: destinations are spread across a broad property, and the county map is useful for choosing an entrance and planning a route. The listed walking and bicycle paths each extend about eight miles, while a separate mountain-bike trail covers 4.1 miles on the east side of Pinehurst Drive. For a short outing, choose one area—such as the nature center, a lake or a playground—instead of assuming every facility is beside the main entrance.
