BORUSSEUM is Borussia Dortmund’s official club museum, located inside Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Rather than serving as a general football museum, it tells the story of one club and the people who have shaped its identity. The exhibition connects trophies and major matches with supporters, difficult turning points and the social values the club says it wants to represent. That combination makes the visit useful even for travelers who know the stadium mainly through televised games: it adds context to the black-and-yellow culture visible across the city.
The museum occupies a space in the stadium’s northeast corner. Borussia Dortmund says the idea grew from a supporter initiative: the club’s fan department raised the proposal in 2005, and BORUSSEUM opened on December 19, 2008. A major redesign followed and the museum reopened in 2022. These dates explain why some older online descriptions may not match the current layout. The present museum is not simply a trophy room preserved unchanged; it is a revised interpretation of the club’s history.
