Zematas Beach stretches along the northern coast of Lemnos, northwest of Panagia village. Local destination guides place it about four kilometers from the village and describe a broad strand roughly 350 meters long, with pale sand, shallow water and tamarisk trees along parts of the shore. Its open setting feels very different from a built-up resort: fields and low hills accompany the final approach, while the Aegean occupies almost the entire horizon.
The beach is also written as Zematas or Gomati-area Zematas in English-language searches, so visitors should check the map point rather than rely only on spelling. Geographic listings place it close to 40°00′10″N, 25°22′20″E. The last section from Panagia has commonly been described as a dirt or unsealed road. Surface conditions can change after winter rain or grading, making a current local road report more useful than an old travel review.
