Wolf Cave, or Susiluola in Finnish, is a rocky hollow on Susivuori in western Finland, near the boundary between Karijoki and the coastal town of Kristiinankaupunki. It is not a developed underground attraction with a visitor centre inside the cave. The site is an outdoor archaeological and geological destination where a safety fence protects the opening, and where the landscape is as important to the experience as the cave itself.
The Finnish name means “Wolf Cave,” drawing on Susivuori, or Wolf Mountain. The hollow is described as a horizontal gap in the rock, close to 30 metres deep and about 25 metres wide; its height exceeds two metres in places. Only part has been studied and can be seen from the protected viewing area. A switch at the fence turns on lighting, allowing visitors to look into the dark opening without entering a fragile, restricted space.
