TOKAT TERMAL — Street View

Sulusaray Thermal Spring rises beside ancient Sebastopolis in Tokat, with mineral water, bathing facilities and a history spanning Roman to Ottoman rule.

Tokat Termal at this location refers to Sulusaray Kaplıcası, also called Çermikönü or Ilıca Kaplıcası. Tokat's Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism places the spring among the ruins of ancient Sebastopolis at about 750 meters above sea level. The water emerges along a fault and has supported bathing traditions through Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods.

Official sources describe sodium-chloride, sulfate and bicarbonate water, but publish differing temperatures: one current page gives a range of 32 to 44.3 degrees Celsius, while an older facilities page states 55 degrees. Because outlets and measurements can differ, visitors should ask the facility for the temperature of the exact pool or bath they will use.
