Asociación Cultural Brisas del Titicaca is a nonprofit institution created by migrants from Puno who brought Aymara and Quechua traditions, dances, music and community memory to Lima. For more than six decades, the association has worked to preserve and present cultural expressions from Puno and other regions of Peru. Its purpose is broader than operating a dinner show.
The venue on Jirón Héroes de Tarapacá in central Lima combines performance hall, restaurant and cultural meeting place. Live orchestra and large dance ensembles introduce spectators to regional costumes, rhythms and choreography. A responsible visitor sees each number as a staged representation connected to living communities, not as one interchangeable category called “folklore.”
